The latest release of our Marketplace platform is here—and it’s designed to make your experience smoother, smarter, and more self-sufficient. With simplified billing, intelligent notifications, and expanded access to software products, Marketplace V4 gives you greater control and clearer visibility. Discover what’s new and how these updates support your long-term software strategy.

The Marketplace platform continues to evolve—and with V4, we’re building on a solid foundation to help SoftwareOne customers simplify procurement, improve visibility, and gain more control. This latest release enhances automation, usability, and product access across the board, with practical upgrades that reflect where the platform is headed and how it supports your day-to-day operations.

For the past year and across three major releases, our focus has been on establishing the core infrastructure to support a more connected, self-service procurement experience. As of 12 May 2025, we’re pleased to launch our fourth release—Marketplace V4—bringing you a broader catalogue, improved automation, and expanded partner support. Here’s what’s new and why it matters.

Public Catalogue and Object Spotlight

Public Catalogue

You can now access our new Public Catalogue, which features 50,000–80,000 vendors SoftwareOne works with. This gives you the ability to browse products, check availability, and compare options—all without logging in. When you're ready, you can request a quote directly from the catalogue or connect with your account manager.

This feature helps cut down on back-and-forth and makes it easier to explore your options quickly and independently.

Object Spotlight

We've added Object Spotlight to help you stay on top of what needs your attention—whether it's an order, an agreement, or a renewal. These alerts are built right into your homepage, so you can act fast without digging around the platform.

Upgrades to Microsoft and Adobe Integrations

We’ve expanded and improved key product extensions to save you time and give you more flexibility.

Microsoft

  • Lighthouse Automation now completes activation requests in the background, reducing delays and admin work.
  • The Microsoft catalogue has been expanded to include perpetual software, server subscriptions, Windows 365 with Hybrid Benefits, and Azure reservations and savings plans.
  • Co-terminosity lets you align all your Microsoft subscriptions to a single renewal date, making budgeting and renewals much simpler

Adobe

  • All Adobe VIP agreements are now fully supported within the Marketplace under the Adobe VIP Marketplace programme.
  • Action required: Adobe will retire VIP agreements on 31 May 2025. To continue making purchases and renewals, agreements must be migrated to the VIP Marketplace programme before that date.

Billing Automation and Clearer Invoices

We’ve rolled out automated billing across CSP, Cloud, and Adobe products. This simplifies the invoicing process and helps ensure more accurate, timely billing.

Invoices now show a single line per subscription with the total monthly charge. We’ve also introduced a new Statement view under Agreement > Attachments, which breaks down all your charges and orders for easier reconciliation.

These changes are designed to reduce billing confusion and give you more confidence in your month-end reporting.

To help you adjust, we’ve prepared supporting materials:

Notifications Management

Our new Notifications module helps ensure that users only receive updates that are relevant to them. Admins can configure notifications at the organisational level, while other users will receive updates based on their assigned groups.

This makes it easier to keep the right people informed without overloading inboxes with unnecessary updates.

New Product Launch: FinOps for Cloud

Now available in Marketplace, FinOps for Cloud is a SoftwareOne-branded tool (built on OptScale) that helps you track, manage, and optimise your cloud usage across AWS, Azure, and GCP. It’s available as a standalone product or bundled with our essentials service.

It’s a smart option for organisations looking to reduce cloud waste and improve forecasting.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

We’re rolling out a new AWS Purchase Wizard to replace manual onboarding. It walks you through setup and connects directly to the AWS extension for faster provisioning.

Partner Programme

Clients and reseller partners can now operate in the same platform—improving visibility, collaboration, and efficiency across shared engagements.

Configuration Orders

Soon, you’ll be able to manage auto-renewals for your subscriptions directly in the platform—no support tickets required. This update was one of our most requested features and will make it easier to manage renewals on your own terms.

Let’s Keep Building

Whether you’re exploring new software, managing renewals, or reviewing your invoices, V4 brings practical improvements that make everyday tasks simpler and more intuitive.

You can always find more detail in our documentation:

Thanks for being on this journey with us. Marketplace is built to put you in control—enabling smarter software management at speed and scale.
