If someone told you that they could scan your laptop for compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in under two minutes, install this product into your network in 10 minutes without a site visit, that it would require no user training, and it would reduce your GDPR compliance costs by 95% in its first year of deployment, you might be excused for being skeptical.

Yet the passion and conviction that Christian Bohn, CEO of Safe Online, has for the strengths of the company's unique portfolio of products quickly dispels any doubts. "In August 2019, I had the opportunity to lead this dynamic startup whose mission was to make it safer to handle personal data," says Bohn.

Safe Online offers three products – RequestManager, ShareSimple, and DataMapper. "DataMapper is our latest and most innovative product that helps protect customers at a fraction of the cost of manual compliance. It's purely cloud-based in Microsoft Azure, so it is globally scalable," says Bohn.

An example of the capabilities of this product came from a Danish school with over 2,500 email accounts. Bohn ellaborates: "We installed DataMapper remotely in 10 minutes with no requirement to train the school staff. We then generated a compliance report that showed areas of high and medium risk, along with recommendations, costs, and immediate actions. But equally, a legal department could use the enhanced AI in DataMapper to discover patent information, identify company intellectual property, or search for specific keywords."

The relationship with SoftwareOne came about through Microsoft, who provided a list of possible partners. "We needed technical advice to enable continuous optimization along with resources to help us grow the business," Bohn says.

Asia M'Barki manages the partner relationship at SoftwareOne. "I've worked in a startup environment before, so I'm accustomed to the pace at Safe Online. We're executing a six-step plan that started with onboarding and an initial go-to-market campaign that connected the company to Danish channel partners," M'Barki explains, and continues:

"We are now launching a co-sell initiative in the UK, working with architects to reduce costs and scale their architecture, alongside enrolling in the Microsoft Azure Migration and Modernization Program. We are also working on a video campaign targeting 300,000 users on LinkedIn, with the final phase being to gather feedback and plan for further activities," says M’Barki.

As compliance and personal data protection regulations spread across the world, Bohn sees SoftwareOne's involvement as key to Safe Online's future success.

"We see the UK, European, and North American markets as our initial targets and in five years, we want to establish ourselves as the global player for simplifying and automating the protection of personal data," says Bohn, and concludes:
