This year, SoftwareOne announced some particularly good news.

We became one of the first globally authorized Google Cloud distributors, giving our partners the opportunity to access Google Cloud, Google Workspace, and Gemini Enterprise through our consistent, scalable distribution model backed by global reach and in-country teams who know their markets.

The launch saw us active immediately across ten diverse markets (Australia, Austria, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, India, Norway, Sweden, and the United States) with more to follow throughout 2026.

I’m fortunate enough to be at the heart of this new initiative and I couldn’t be more excited about what it means for our partners and their end customers.

Why this is good news for partners

Partners are increasingly interested in what Google Cloud can offer. But for many, the path to actually offering Google Cloud, Google Workspace, or Gemini Enterprise has not always been friction-free. Too often it’s proved to be portal-heavy and light on in-depth support. When a customer needs real guidance or a sale involves multiple moving parts, that’s not the best set up for getting a deal closed fast or supporting exiting users.

Making the most of the multi-cloud opportunity

Of course, the bigger picture is that end customers today aren't just picking one cloud and sticking with it.

They want choice and they're looking to partners like you to provide it. If you're primarily selling Microsoft or AWS today, I honestly believe that adding a credible Google Cloud capability to your portfolio won’t just be seen as a play for incremental revenue. It will build real trust with your customers as they recognize your integrity in offering them the best from all the major hyperscalers.
