BSI's warning statement concerning Kaspersky software

IT Security and Kasperky

As you may have read in the media, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) sent out a warning statement concerning Kaspersky software. The BSI urged that anti-virus software from Kaspersky's portfolio be replaced – more details can be found in the press release (in German). This isn’t the first time security concerns are raised in connection with Kaspersky software. Between 2017 and 2018, various governments, intelligence and agency bodies of the US, Lithuania, the UK, Spain, the European Union and the Netherlands banned usage of Kaspersky products in the public sector, leading to controversial discussions. Kaspersky has yet again reacted to the most recent warnings by issuing its own statement.

We believe that our customers need to reach their own conclusions in connection with the ongoing debate. IT Security is a paramount consideration for all businesses.
