One of the largest business schools in the Nordics seeks to be a front runner in technology adoption, enabling more efficient operations and better student experiences.

The school ́s IT department has a pain of distributing applications to students with different devices and application requirements. It is also a hassle to manage individual application needs for the students that are seamlessly integrated with their active directory setup.

 

The Solution

SoftwareOne (formerly Crayon) has created a fully managed solution using AppStream 2.0 to meet the complex demands of student application distribution. Based on Windows Machine image and scaling fleets, the business school can provide their students with any application that runs on Windows.

SoftwareOne Campus is a fully managed solution that leverages AppStream 2.0 to provide Windows-based applications to any student on any device, using any web browser.

SoftwareOne implement, manages, and operates the environment for the school. The solution integrates directly with their existing Microsoft AD.

The initial project consisted of an Analytics course of 120 students. They received access to analytical and data-centric functions like Jupyter Notebook, Python, R, SQL Server access, and other standard productivity applications.
