We’re proud to announce that together, we’ve earned two AWS Partner of the Year Awards and five Finalist nominations across multiple categories and regions.

Complementary strengths

SoftwareOne has been named Public Sector Global Consulting Partner of the Year for Latin America, while also being a Finalist in this category for both EMEA and Asia Pacific/ Japan.  On top of this regional success, SoftwareOne is also a Consulting Partner of the Year Finalist for SAAS and Public Sector GenAI globally.

Simultaneously, Crayon has won Distributor Partner of the Year Public Sector for Asia Pacific/ Japan, while being a Finalist in the Distributor Partner category for all sectors globally.

How we made our impact

Winner: SoftwareOne, Public Sector Global Consulting Partner of the Year – LATAM

SoftwareOne has won this award on the back of transformative projects across education and government sectors in Latin America, especially in the region’s largest economy, Brazil.

Our work with FIEG, a major educational group in the state of Goiás, exemplifies our impact. To meet its vision of providing more accessible and engaging remote learning experiences, FIEG needed a comprehensive upgrade to its infrastructure.  With SoftwareOne it migrated 111 servers, 200 applications, and 50TB of data to AWS, kick-starting a modernization program that would impact 2,300 employees and ~10,000 students. This provided the capabilities needed to greatly improve their digital learning experience, while achieving a 55% cost saving in the first year alone.

SoftwareOne is among a number of select firms that hold the AWS Generative AI Services Competency, and our expertise in this area has made a real difference for our clients in the region. This was evident when another educational institution, this time one in Northeast Brazil sought our help to become a digital education leader. After completing a migration to AWS within five months and reducing costs by 35%, SoftwareOne has helped reinvest those savings into GenAI capabilities that enhance student accessibility, streamline assessments, and reduce dropout rates.

Our expertise in AI was also evident when we helped a medical school in São Paulo automate student classroom registration and generate attendance reports. This deployment of cutting-edge multimodal AI services in the cloud has reduced time-consuming manual processes and improved record keeping for over 2,500 students.

SoftwareOne also demonstrated impact with data and analytics for the government sector. The State Department of Social Development of Minas Gerais sought to improve its ability to monitor socioeconomic conditions across the state. With SoftwareOne it leveraged cloud-native architecture and AWS advanced analytics services to improve data visualization and risk mapping across 853 municipalities. This has enabled more proactive resource allocation for vulnerable populations, while creating average cost savings of $900,000.

Winner: Crayon, Distributor Partner of the Year Public Sector – Asia Pacific and Japan

Recognition in this category reflects Crayon’s well-established excellence as a channel partner for cloud services – a record that also saw us named as a Finalist for the overall Distributor Partner of the Year. Winning the Public Sector award in this category for APJ demonstrates our leadership in a dynamic and diverse region that’s home to 60% of the world’s population.

We showed this leading capability when a major state electricity board in North India needed to modernize power distribution in remote, mountainous regions. The utility faced significant barriers, including outdated billing systems, manual outage detection, and high operational costs due to difficult terrain and weather conditions.

As a distributor partner, we provided the strategic guidance, resources, and cloud expertise that allowed our partners to design and implement innovative solutions for this client.

Through a cloud-first approach, they migrated critical workloads to AWS, implemented resilient and secure architectures, and automated key processes. This enabled real-time monitoring, AI-driven outage detection, and seamless integration with billing systems. The results were transformative: infrastructure provisioning times were reduced by 80-90% (from weeks to hours), outage detection and resolution became 30-40% faster, and restoration times in snow and landslide-prone areas improved by up to 25%. The project also delivered more than 95% billing accuracy, up to 40% fewer data gaps in low-connectivity areas, and a 25-30% reduction in infrastructure costs compared to legacy systems.

These innovations have improved transparency, trust, and service reach for citizens in remote villages, while enabling the utility to scale smart meter rollouts and reinvest savings into further innovation. They were made possible by access to best-in-class AWS capabilities and a technical enablement approach that met their compliance and scalability needs.
