The Power of Partnering with SoftwareONE

'Partner' is one of the most widely and loosely-used words in the IT industry. While often used with the best of intentions, the unfortunate reality is that many partnerships are one-sided and provide limited benefits for one party. Unfortunately, many companies have a predatory idea of what a partnership should look like – and as a result, these partnerships are rarely mutually beneficial.

The most successful partnerships start with a foundation of trust. They are built with a clear understanding of give-and-take, and both parties strive to understand each other’s goals through regular communication. From the outset, partner satisfaction should be measured in both qualitative and quantitative ways to ensure longevity. Of course, either partner may need to adjust, or reevaluate their expectations along the partner journey, but all of these changes are ultimately in the best interest of the partnership.

We are no stranger to partnering. Partnerships with vendors/publishers, service providers, hosters, ISVs and many others have been integral to our success over the last 30 years. The SoftwareONE partner ecosystem has evolved over this time and has had to pivot with the constant changing winds of IT.

Today, our partner program is branded as ONEClub. It is a major pillar of SoftwareONE’s vision and strategy - both today and in the future. The ONEClub program is flexible allowing partners of all types, sizes, and geography to participate. It is not a one-size-fits-all program – rather, its tailor-made for the needs of your business. Let’s take a look at how we enable partners to accelerate their business through ONEClub.

Leverage Advice From a Network of Experts

Many service providers, such as Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and systems integrators, choose to partner with us to deliver specific software and cloud solutions. This allows organizations to focus on their core business competencies, while SoftwareONE provides specialized software and cloud expertise.

For instance, imagine a networking provider that does not have a competency around the Microsoft cloud. They don’t fully understand how to optimize their licensing programs, enterprise configurations, and delivery. While this organization has many talents, this is just outside of their skill-set. The provider notices that this lack of expertise could compromise their ability to fully service their clients’ needs. After some deliberation, they choose to align with a partner to fill in any knowledge gaps. They begin seeking partners with clear lines of service and communication that will always keep the end user’s interests in mind, and find that we have access to a repertoire of experts. In addition to this, they have strong connections with specialists, which they can call on when a direct client needs specialized, intensive support that’s outside of SoftwareONE’s scope.

Our global hosting business was originally built to help deliver Microsoft solutions and hosted applications to service providers and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) through a Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA). These solutions created many challenges for partners including unpredictable cost structures, limits on solution innovation, profitability pressures, and general overhead and administrative burden.

To resolve these needs, ONEClub provided visibility, control, predictability and compliance to SPLA partners. We focus on reducing their infrastructure costs by modernizing the systems, increasing their market competitiveness in the process. Clients will have peace of mind knowing their business systems are secure, available and built on a leading-edge platform.

ISVs are facing a growing set of challenges. They need to find new routes to market, innovate solutions, control costs, and accelerate their growth. SoftwareONE’s ONEClub ISV partner program was purpose-built to help partners transform and face these challenges head-on.

By partnering with SoftwareONE’s ISV specialists, ISVs can enjoy a personal point of contact to support through the full business cycle. Our ISV team helps partners to design a go-to-market plan that targets new markets with modern solutions delivered in an optimized infrastructure.

In addition to this, SoftwareONE’s CSP Indirect Provider program is a major lynchpin of ONEClub. Our CSP Indirect Provider program allows Microsoft indirect resellers to accelerate their cloud practice by equipping them with the tools, systems and support necessary to manage their customers’ cloud lifecycle. Additionally, indirect sellers can find ordering, invoicing, provisioning, and reporting features in the ONEClub Marketplace.

CSP Indirect partners can count on ONEClub’s 24x7 technical cloud support that’s backed by the same service that SoftwareONE provides our direct customers. Offering new services to clients has never been easier by leveraging SoftwareONE’s Simple portfolio.

Final Thoughts

No matter what type of partnership you see value in, you can count on SoftwareONE treating you with the highest level of respect and trust. Our model is built to promote long-term partnerships and mutually shared success.
