The challenge

Turning Technologies (TT) contacted SoftwareOne (formerly Crayon) regarding consultation services for becoming compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation process in the EU as a result of recent legislation.

After several initial phone calls, a Statement of Work (SOW) was developed that focused on meeting TT’s needs, and sequentially, TT began to work with SoftwareOne on GDPR assessment services.

The process: Becoming compliant

Initially, SoftwareOne gathered background information on TT’s current GDPR status and then conducted an all-day on-site GDPR assessment workshop with Turning’s management team.

This structured process was very helpful in providing general background to GDPR compliance, as well as helping our management team talk through compliance and identify needs/gaps in current practice.

The outcome of this workshop and follow-up conversations were the development of a written GDPR assessment that aided TT’s team to identify exactly where they were in the process and included recommendations regarding where they should be headed and other relative priorities.
