Our Environmental, Social, and Governance Program
SoftwareOne is a global company committed to being environmentally and socially responsible. Our environmental, social and governance (ESG) program aims to have a positive impact on people within our organization and in the communities where we operate, and lessen our negative impact on the environment, all while improving our organizational ethics.

Today, our planet and our people are facing unprecedented risks due to climate change and this reality is of deep concern to all of us at SoftwareOne. Community outreach activities and efforts to create an inclusive culture, provide a sense of purpose and pride internally, and contribute to thriving communities externally.
Environment
Reducing our global carbon emissions is a key ambition. Through our annual greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, we measure our carbon footprint. We have set near-term science-based targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Governance
Establishing and maintaining best-in-class ethics, compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity systems and infrastructure is our hallmark as an IT company. Integrity is, and always will be, a core value at SoftwareOne. We strive to protect and enable our employees to prioritize compliance.
Gender pay gap report 2022
The SoftwareOne gender pay report provides a breakdown of the gender pay gap for SoftwareOne UK Limited, our only UK entity to employ more than 250 people.
SoftwareOne is working to close the gender pay gap and promote gender equality in the workplace. Our 2022 report provides transparent and comprehensive data on our efforts to ensure fair compensation and opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender.

Global ESG Initiatives
Cloud Sustainability
Cloud sustainability enables our customers to reduce their carbon footprint by providing environmental impact data for cloud solutions and application services.
Cloud sustainability emphasizes resource optimization, resulting in customer-specific cloud solutions that are cost appropriate and have a proportionate carbon footprint.
SoftwareOne Carbon Reduction Plan
SoftwareOne calculated our baseline carbon footprint in 2022, continuing this in 2023. Using this data, we developed our carbon reduction strategy, to achieve our 2030 ambition of reaching Net-zero for Scope 1 and 2. Our strategy focuses on creating green our offices, transitioning to renewable energy, replacing our fleet with EVs and reducing our global business travel.
DACH Green Team
The DACH Green Team lead the way in our global carbon footprint data collection. The DACH Green Team was also the first to implement local initiatives, such as car sharing schemes, discounts on travel, and providing EV and hybrid vehicles to employees. These initiatives were applied globally by our ESG team.
One Tree Planted
We are beginning to support biodiversity and reforestation projects across all five continents. Every year, we collaborate with One Tree Planted to plant a new tree for each new Academy student and every new employee.
Non-Financial Report
Our annually published Non-Financial Report sets out our vision for a more sustainable future and looks at the steps we are taking to make this a reality.
DEIB is a key priority for SoftwareOne – we have defined ability, gender, ethnicity, social mobility, and LGBTQIA+ as our five pillars of diversity. We are also conscious of the intersectionality of these dimensions of diversity.
SoftwareOne supports employee-led global and regional employee resource groups (ERGs). Our ERGs are dedicated to representing our workforce and the diverse communities and identities within SoftwareOne, in line with our DEIB pillars and organizational goals.
SoftwareOne Gives Back
SoftwareOne Gives Back is our global initiative that supports community development through corporate charitable giving and employee volunteering. Through this program, we make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.
