Our external referral program
At SoftwareOne, we believe people are our greatest asset and we also believe that awesome people know other people just as awesome! Which is why we want to reward anyone who can introduce us to the next addition to our SoftwareOne family. The external referral program offers a payment to individuals who are unaffiliated with our business to assist SoftwareOne in attracting and hiring the very best talent across the globe.
Terms & Conditions
Please read carefully. By submitting a candidate for referral, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
The external referrer (You):
- Must be an individual who is at least 18 years of age.
- Cannot be someone who works commercially as, with or for a recruitment agency or recruiting consultancy.
- Cannot be a current SoftwareOne employee (SoftwareOne employees, please follow our internal referral scheme).
- Cannot refer yourself.
- Must not be under any legal restriction that would prohibit you from participating in this program or making the applicable referral.
Your referral (candidate) is not eligible for the program, and SoftwareOne will not have any obligation to make a payment to you, if any of the following apply:
- The candidate has worked at SoftwareOne as an employee, consultant, contractor, or other capacity within the past two (2) years;
- The candidate has been referred to SoftwareOne by another party;
- The candidate has already applied at SoftwareOne within the last 6 months;
- Recruitment of the referral is not permitted due to conflicting contractual agreements, e.g. non-solicitation agreement; or
- Payment would result in SoftwareOne violating the law or being in breach of a contract with a third party
If more than one person refers the same candidate and such candidate is hired by SoftwareOne, the external referral bonus will be awarded to the first referrer, based upon SoftwareOne’s time stamp for the referral.
If you are eligible to participate in the program, SoftwareOne will pay you an external referral payment up to 2,000 US $* for each candidate that is hired by SoftwareOne and such referred employee upon satisfaction of the following conditions:
- The candidate acknowledges that they were referred by you; and
- The candidate completes 3 months of continuous, active employment with SoftwareOne.
*This amount differs by country and currency. The respective amount of the external referral payment is based on the country of the respective job vacancy. Please refer to the "Participating countries" tab.
If a candidate is hired by SoftwareOne, must complete any documentation reasonable requested by SoftwareOne.
Payment of the external referral payment will be made within 45 days after the minimum recruitment period of 3 months, provided the required documentation is fully provided to SoftwareOne.
The following information must be provided as described below.
- Referral information should be submitted through SoftwareOne careers website (SoftwareOne External Referral Programme).
- You submit your full name and contact information (phone number and e-mail address).
- You submit the potential candidate’s contact information (phone number and e-mail address) and resume/CV.
By submitting your reference to SoftwareOne you confirm,
- that the referral has given its prior approval for such a reference.
- that your reference is in compliance with these Terms & Conditions and the applicable law, including data policy regulations.
- You agree to fully indemnify SoftwareOne from all losses and liabilities arising from your breach of any of these terms and conditions.
Termination: SoftwareOne may suspend or terminate the External Referral Programme at any time and for any reason, without notice.

*Referral bonus will not be applicable for Korea’s internship roles against Korea.
