Leave a commentDuring these times of working remotely, what I have done most at SoftwareONE is present our solutions to customers through video conferencing solutions. We use Microsoft Teams, but these tips apply to any tool (Skype, Hangouts, GoToMeeting, WebEx, Zoom, etc.).
As much as technology helps us stay in touch, virtual meetings have their challenges and one of them is that you have to compete with emails, WhatsApp and even parallel conversations within the video conferencing app itself to get your audience's attention. For me, the main disadvantage of not being physically in the same room as the audience is losing nonverbal feedback, making it more difficult to adapt the speech during the meeting.

Very well curated Andre! These are some critical points to keep in mind at all times while delivering presentations remotely. I've personally noticed how crucial the first 3 minutes are in terms of the presentation's success and am focusing more on creating maximum engagement there. I also found this article quite helpful for delivering an effective remote presentation.
