John De Los Reyes, SoftwareONE’s director for the Unified Communications and Collaboration practice, was recently the featured author at TMCnet.com for his article, “What’s in Store for Unified Communications and Collaboration?” You can read the full article here.
What changes lie ahead for Unified Communications?
There was so much change in the Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) space this year that John stated, “In the year ahead we will see a fundamental shift away from the voice and text tools we’re familiar with, towards truly collaborative UC platforms.” As both Microsoft Teams and Slack Enterprise Grid came into play, and Skype for Business bid adieu, this could not be more true.
With the fluidity of Teams – its ability to work seamlessly with products such as SharePoint, Box, OneDrive, and others – users may finally reach that panacea of collaboration where it is done not only in real-time but in the context of the work that needs to get done to better serve the customer.
It will be interesting to see what 2018 brings in the UC&C space. To read more on this topic visit our blog or contact John directly for feedback.
