Even better, the cost of the new plan is $0. Microsoft recognizes the need for today’s education institutions to provide greater security, information protection, and management in a safe and compliant online learning environment. It’s important for teachers and students to focus solely on teaching and learning while IT focuses on the safety, security and compliance capabilities of the underlying technology. Additionally, Microsoft restructured its Office 365 Education offerings to deliver critical features at no additional cost.

    Hi team
I am new to ITS and have quite a task on my hands sorting out their ICT systems.
ITS currently uses Gmail, drive and docs with some admin staff using O365 for office productivity suite only. My goal is to move off the G platform altogether and migrate to O365.
An administrator (office not domain) has set up a rough and ready onmicrosoft O365 environment to purchase software. However, the platform purchased is business not EDU. I, of course, am wanting to take advantage of the EDU offering.
Is there a simple way to upgrade our subscription to EDU while I am dragging over our MX records and hosting the security domain (currently a quick and dirty workgroup with WWW hosted externally) instead of to an EDU plan? Of course I’d rather not have to redeploy software to users which is already deployed using our onmicrosoft domain if possible.
Any advice or suggestions you have will be gratefully recieved.
