Personal data

Personal data is any information about you. This includes your name, your postal address, and your email address. The disclosure of any personal data is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. In certain cases, we will need your name and business postal address and other information in order to be able to provide you with the requested services.

The same applies in the event that we supply you with information material upon request and/or respond to your enquiries. In these events, we will always draw your attention to this fact. Furthermore, we will only retain information that you have provided to us automatically or voluntarily.

As a general rule, if you use any of our services, we will only collect information that is required for the provision of our service to you. We may ask you for additional information that may be disclosed on a voluntary basis. Whenever we process personal data we will do so to be able to offer you our services or to pursue our business objectives.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our website, we will store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. This information is: Type and version of the browser used, data and time of access, and IP address.

This data will be anonymised and only used for statistical purposes and/or for improving our web and online services. The aformentioned anonymised data will be stored on secure systems, separate from personal data, and cannot be linked to individuals. This means your personal data will be protected at any time.

When you visit our website, we may store certain information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are placed in your browser by a web server and stored on your hard disk. Only the Internet protocol address will be stored – no personal data. The information that is stored in the cookies allows us to automatically recognise you next time you visit our website which will enhance your user experience.

You may, of course, also view our website without accepting cookies. If you do not wish your computer to be recognised on your next visit, you may disable cookies by configuring the relevant settings in your web browser. Please refer to the user guide of your browser for detailed instructions. Please note that this may restrict the functionality and your use of our website and certain features may not work as a result.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager tool itself does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags that record data in some circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If cookies have been disabled at the domain or cookie level, this setting remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager. Please visit the following website for the Google Privacy Policy on this tool: https://www.google.de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Google Analytics with anonymisation feature

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA, 94043, U.S., hereinafter referred to as “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files, that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by these cookies, e.g.  time, place and frequency of your website visit and your IP address, will be transferred to Google in the U.S. and stored there. We use Google Analytics on our website with the additional string of characters “_gat._anonymizeIp”. When  using Google Analytics your IP address will be shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and, thus, anonymised. Google will use the aforementioned information in order to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on web activities for us, and to provide other services related to the usage of the website and the Internet. Furthermore, Google may also transfer this information to third parties, in the event that this is required by law, or if third parties process this information on behalf of Google. According to information published by Google, Google will not associate your IP address with other data collected by Google under any circumstances. You may prevent the placing of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your web browser software. Please note, however, that if you do this, the functionality of our website may be restricted. Furthermore, Google offers an opt-out add-on for the most common browsers which will give you more control over which data will be captured by Google on the websites you visit. The add-on will inform the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information on the website visited is to be transferred to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on for web browsers will not prevent information from being transferred to us or to other web analysis services which we may also use. You may obtain further information on this add-on by clicking on the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

If you visit our website using a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), please click on this link in order to prevent the future tracking within this website by Google Analytics. This is an alternative to the add-on described above. By clicking on this link, an opt-out-cookie will be placed in your browser that is only valid for this web browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies from this web browser, the opt-out-cookie will also be deleted so that you need to click on the link again.

If you have granted Google your consent to the linking of your web and app browser history with your Google account and the use of information from your Google account for the personalisation of advertisements, Google will use your data in combination with Google Analytics data in order to generate audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics will initially capture your Google-authenticated ID on our website which is connected with your Google account (including personal data). Subsequently, Google Analytics will link your ID temporarily with your Google Analytics data in order to optimise our audiences.

If you do not agree, you may disable this function by configuring the corresponding settings in the “My account” section of your Google account.

Google Dynamic Remarketing

This website uses the Remarketing feature of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.; “Google“). This feature has the purpose of displaying ads to website visitors according to their interests within the Google Display Network. This technology enables us to place automatically generated, audience-specific ads following your visit on our website. The ads are based on products and services that you clicked on during your last visit of our website. For this purpose, a so-called cookie will be stored in the web browser of the website visitor that enables the recognition of the visitor when they access websites that belong to the Google Display Network. Cookies are small text files that are placed in your web browser while visiting our website. Google will store information such as your web query, the IP address, browser type, browser language, date and time of your query. This information serves the purpose of associating the web browser with a certain computer. As a result, it is then possible to display ads to the visitor on the pages of the Google Display Network that are related to contents that the visitor had requested from recently visited websites which use the Google Remarketing feature.

If you have granted your consent at https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated that Google may associate your web browser history with your Google account and that information from your Google account may be used for the personalisation of ads, the Remarketing feature will also work device-independently.  To this end, your Google ID will be captured by Google and used for the purpose of cross-device detection.

According to information published by Google, Google will not collect any personal data during this process at any time. However, if you should not wish the Remarketing feature of Google to be applied to your account, you may disable it by clicking on OPT-OUT .

You may also prevent the storage of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your web browser software. Please note, however, that if you do this, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

For further information on how Google uses cookies please refer to the https://policies.google.com/privacy

“DoubleClick by Google” is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S. (“Google”). “DoubleClick by Google” uses cookies to display ads according to your interests. To do so, it associates your browser a pseudonymous identification number (ID) which is used to check which ads have been displayed in your browser and which ads were viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal data. The use of DoubleClick cookies only allows Google and its affiliate sites to display ads based on previous visits to our or other web pages on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the U.S. for analysis and stored there. Google complies with the data protection rules of the “Privacy Shield” framework and has registered for the “Privacy Shield” program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. By using our websites, you agree to the processing of data collected about you by Google and to the type and manner of data processing described above and the stated purpose. You may prevent the storage of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your browser software. Please note, however, that if you do this, the functionality of our websites may be restricted. In addition, you may prevent the capturing of data generated by cookies with regard to the use of the web pages by Google and prevent the processing of that data by Google by downloading and installing the web browser plugin available at the following https://www.google.com/setting... in the section “DoubleClick opt-out add-on”. Alternatively, you may disable the use of Doubleclick cookies by clicking on this Opt-Out .

Doubleclick Ad Exchange In the event that Doubleclick Ad Exchange, a web display service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043,  U.S. (“Google”) places ads on this website (text ads, banners, etc.), your web browser may store a cookie transmitted by Google Inc. or a third party. The information stored in the cookie may be recorded, collected and analysed by Google Inc. or third parties. In addition, Doubleclick Ad Exchange is used for collecting information, including so-called web beacons (tiny invisible graphics) that may be used to record, collect, and analyse simple actions such as the website traffic. The information on the use of this website generated by the cookie and/or web beacon will be transferred to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. Google complies with the data protection rules of the “Privacy Shield” framework and has registered for the “Privacy Shield” program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Google will use any information obtained this way to analyse your user behaviour with regard to Doubleclick Ad Exchange ads. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, in the event that this is required by law, or if third parties process this information on behalf of Google. To the extent that IP addresses are transferred and stored in this context, this use will only serve the purpose of blocking and filtering spam/fraud (ad impression spam and click spam). This data will only be available to the anti-abuse teams. Google will not link the IP address with any other data stored by Google. You may disable the storage of cookies on your hard disk and the display of web beacons. To do so, you need to enable the “do not accept cookies” settings in your web browser.  For further information please go to: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ads/

Among other components, the design of our website incorporates fonts provided by MyFonts Inc., 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, U.S. Due to this integration, data is retrieved from a MyFonts server when visiting our website, which means that this server and, thus, MyFonts will at least take notice of your IP address. Without your IP address, the MyFonts server would not be capable of sending font files to your web browser, i.e., your IP address is required for displaying type fonts.

Furthermore, MyFonts will usually also be informed that you retrieved the font via our website and will receive some technical information on your web browser, since almost any web browser automatically sends this information to the server. Some browsers allow the restriction or modification of data transmitted to the server, however, it depends on the publisher of the browser whether this is possible.

Even if the provider, i.e., MyFonts, requires the transferred data, in particular the IP address, only for delivering the retrieved contents, we have no knowledge and it is beyond our control to which extent MyFont uses this information for statistical analysis or stores it. In any case, our website also includes a visitor counter provided by MyFonts that records the number of visitors on our website. We are legally required to use this visitor counter due to our use of the fonts.

If you should not agree to the integration of these fonts, you may disable them by clicking on OPT-OUT . In that case, the contents may not be displayed correctly.

In addition, we will use Marketo to store information in the cookie that you entered in the forms available on our website. For further information about data protection at Marketo please visit https://documents.marketo.com/legal/privacy/.
