When a global food and beverage company planned a major business transformation and financial process consolidation, SoftwareONE helped the customer to convert its SAP ECC to S/4HANA in the AWS cloud. Due to strenuous timeline pressure SoftwareONE SAP ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Services were recruited for fast project delivery. SoftwareONE designed and implemented a new SAP S/4HANA solution on time to support the new operating model, improve financial insights, and lower costs in a modern Hyperscaler cloud environment. This digital transformation has helped the customer to realize key goals such as offering an e-commerce platform and to more quickly and easily adapt to changes in the food and beverage industry.

The customer is a global beer, spirits, soft drink and food business group.

Undertaking a significant business transformation, this global food and beverage business customer planned to introduce a new operating model. S/4HANA was selected as the best solution platform to fit the core business objectives. The new operating model would include offering retail customers an e-commerce platform while addressing industry changes in product and margin developments.

As part of the process re-design, the company also planned to consolidate fragmented finance processes and systems.

Strenuous timeline pressure meant the project had to begin two weeks from a standing start and deliver the first project landscape within six weeks.

SoftwareONE SAP ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Services were engaged in planning and designing a new S/4HANA solution and supporting SAP applications. AWS was the customer’s chosen platform for hosting SAP in the new operating model. Implementation included sophisticated high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities as well as advanced automation features.
