About the Customer
The customer is a leading fertilizer producer. Key to operating successfully is its ability to get the most out of its SAP system, support its global financial, commercial, and supply-chain systems, and manage business operations.
Having implemented its SAP Analytics systems in a co-located private cloud, the business experienced numerous problems with performance, resiliency, stability, and missed service levels. Since it had other SAP systems already in Microsoft Azure, the decision was made to migrate from the private cloud to Azure.
SoftwareONE began the project in coordination with the client and the current private cloud provider. SoftwareONE planned and managed the build of the SAP S/4HANA landscape and obtained backups of the existing systems. The cohesive migration plan was designed to include both functional and technical testing. The move began first with the Dev and Test systems. After demonstrating the process and testing to ensure all systems were performing as expected, it was finalized and documented. All production systems were then migrated within the negotiated downtime window.
To ensure a successful outcome, SoftwareONE and the customer teamed up to co-manage the project throughout.
