In addition, training sessions from the SoftwareONE Academy were delivered to help staff get oriented. In 1754, Charles I, Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg, founded an institution that allowed his subjects to insure themselves against fire damage. At the time, it was an incredibly innovative idea.

Ever since, Öffentliche Versicherung Braunschweig (also named “Die Öffentliche”) has been the region’s leading insurance and financial services provider. With an extensive branch the company’s 160+ offices offer top-quality on-site service to nearly 350,000 customers in Germany.

The Challenge

Öffentliche Versicherung Braunschweig had an ambitious objective to move to the cloud and take advantage of the latest technology in terms of modern and unified office communication to serve both internal staff and customers.

Technology supporting in-house and field sales teams would be adjusted for greater collaboration. The previous infrastructure would be carefully replaced, taking care to avoid any disruptions or costly downtimes. The new cloud solution would be managed by a service provider in order to enable internal resources to concentrate fully on their core tasks.

The Solution

SoftwareONE experts offered a cloud solution using Microsoft Office 365 to satisfy the company’s requirements. The team created an overall design, and Office 365 migration plan with support from its partner holistic-net GmbH.

Öffentliche Versicherung Braunschweig was impressed by SoftwareONE expertise as well as its ability to implement all requirements from one source. This meant the customer could also commission training sessions for its IT employees from the SoftwareONE Academy and that SoftwareONE would ensure Office 365's continuous operation through SoftwareONE’s Unified Support for 365 (formerly “Unified Cloud Management for Office 365”).
